Charges

Legal bills are seldom a joy to clients but they need not always be a source of grief, either. Modern practice requires that costs should be fair and, so far as possible, predictable, rather than a nasty surprise. Whilst it is not always possible to say at the outset exactly what a particular job may cost, clients are given estimates which are reviewed regularly. Our charges are normally calculated on a time basis and our rates are very competitive. We sometimes quote a fixed fee in suitable cases but do not normally undertake either contingency fee or conditional fee work, as we do not believe it produces satisfaction for either the lawyer or the client. Above all, we aim to ensure that our charges are fair.
